We are looking for a Senior ASP.NET Programmer with 2/3+ years experience in a web or software company, preferably with knowledge of PHP open-source frame works such as Drupal, Joomla, Expression Engine.

Skills: ASP.NET, C#, SQL, XML/XSLT, CSS, JavaScript and other Internet technologies.

Necessary Experience:

Technical:

  • 2/3+ years in a web or software company
  • Experience programming ASP.NET (C#) websites versions 2.0 – 3.5 using Visual Studio 2008
  • Recent experience integrating web-based CMS solutions on the ASP.NET framework
  • Object-Oriented programming knowledge
  • Excellent XHTML, CSS knowledge and appreciation of best practice and web accessibility standards.
  • Javascript, including exposure to client-side libraries such as jQuery, Mootools
  • Windows Server 2003 – IIS 6.0 configuration
  • SQL Server 2005/2008 - strong database development skills and ability to understand complex schemas
  • A passion for web and software development and an ability/willingness to learn new technologies

Interpersonal:

  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented
  • Possess trouble shooting abilities
  • Ability to learn new skills
  • Excellent inter personal and communications skills


Desired/Plus:

  • Experience of other CMS platforms, especially PHP open-source frameworks – Drupal, Joomla, Expression Engine
  • Experience with Social Media network APIs such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Experience with Kentico CMS, preferably using an ASPX templates approach
  • Testing experience – Test-Driven Development, Unit Testing (NUnit, XUnit), Mocking
  • Use of ORM technologies – NHibernate, Subsonic, LINQ-2-SQL or similar.

  • ASP.NET 1.1 using c# and Visual Studio 2003
  • Experience with database performance analysis and optimisation techniques

Educational Requirements:
BSc/MSc in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
